Carl Hodson took over as CEO at Seescape in Spring 2017.
Carl’s career began in banking, where he held a number of senior roles, including with RBS and Clydesdale Bank. But, as he describes it, everything changed when phase two of his career began when he moved out of finance and into the charitable sector.
Prior to joining Fife Society for the Blind, as Managing Director of Glencraft – a social enterprise employing visually impaired and disabled employees in the production of high quality beds and mattresses – Carl was charged with bringing the charity back to life after it had been closed down for five months. He restructured it and stabilised finances to give it a future, winning contracts with major outlets and developing an innovative strategy for building revenues. As a result, Carl and the organisation won a number of awards in Scotland and the UK.
